Maddie and I had the great opportunity to see popular TV fitness trainer Chris Powell speak at an event hosted by the Arapahoe Library District, all thanks to our wonderful client Holly. I had no idea this was going to be such a powerful and amazing event. Chris was an amazing speaker and has a very unique approach on the real way to create transformation. What I thought was going to be a talk about exercise and nutrition turned out to be a very motivational talk. He inspired me in so many ways and I will be implementing some of this in my nutrition coaching and private training!

Chris Powell

Chris has his 4 fundamental secrets that make lifelong transformation possible. It’s all in the first chapter of his book, Choose More, Lose More for Life. That one chapter is worth the whole price of the book, times a million! Over the next 4 weeks, I’m going to share with you those 4 fundamental secrets. If you can’t wait that long for all 4 secrets, then you can go check out a copy of the book from your local library. Actually, I’d recommend it regardless.

The first secret is to believe. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, believe that your transformation is possible. This is true for a transformation of your body or any other aspect of your life. When you believe it’s possible, it is! Chris used one of my favorite quotes, by Henry Ford, “whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.

It’s okay if you don’t believe in yourself just yet. It takes practice, just like any other skill. But you CAN master that skill when you practice it. I have been down the road of self-doubt and I have also been down the road of self-belief and I can tell you that when I take the road of belief, it always wins!

Below is a great exercise that Chris presents in his book. I think even answering just a few of these can be a really powerful experience. Maybe answer just a couple each day until you’ve done all of them, then take a look back and enjoy how wonderful you really are!

Next week I’ll reveal secret #2…which was my favorite because it resonated the most with me. In the meantime, remember…

Believe in yourself,
Shari
