Chelsey is our March Member of the Month! Chelsey found Iron Clad on Yelp, doing a search for small fitness classes near her, in preparation for her wedding last summer. Chelsey didn’t have any prior kettlebell experience, was not seeking out kettlebell classes specifically and she had no prior strength training experience. But she was drawn to our friendly and warm community and decided to give it a try. One of Chelsey’s goals was to gain strength and she quickly accomplished that mission. We are now celebrating her one year mark at Iron Clad.

Chelsey has been described as the “sweet, younger gal” who comes to classes and that couldn’t be a more true description of her. Chelsey works as a pediatric nurse in the pulmonary department at Children’s Hospital. My nurse clients have given me a new appreciation of the profession and dedicating your life’s work to working with sick kids takes a special kind of person. Chelsey’s work requires her to work overnight shifts, which can be tough with our class schedule. This has presented some challenges, especially while also planning a wedding, but Chelsey saw the benefits of regular class attendance and has made it work with her life.

Chelsey gets stronger and more skilled each month that she is with us. She also just took her kettlebell training to a new level by learning the kettlebell snatch. Chelsey took to it very quickly, I might add, and implemented it in our 5 minute finisher at her very next class!

Congratulations on all of your hard work, Chelsey! We can’t wait to see where you go from here.
