We have another big milestone to celebrate this month. Brenda is celebrating 3 years at Iron Clad, so we are celebrating Brenda!
Brenda came to Iron Clad with no prior strength training experience and she didn’t know anything about kettlebell training. She had initially inquired about TRX training but she was intrigued by all the benefits of kettlebell training, our welcoming atmosphere, and we were close by so she decided to give it a try. She thought, “what the heck, I’ll give it a try for 6 months and see what happens.” 3 years later, I think it’s safe to say something happened.
Brenda’s a-ha moment with kettlebell swings took a little while to find, but I think Brenda is a great example of the commitment it takes to learn a new technique. Even though certain aspects of learning the swing were a challenge for her, she never gave up. In the meantime, Brenda gained a lot of strength, lifting bigger and bigger kettlebells. Brenda has also helped encourage new clients over the years, when they struggle with a certain technique. (because let’s face it, everyone does at some point)
Brenda is such a fun-loving, joyful woman. She is a dedicated mother of 3 lovely young women. They have such a wonderful and close relationship and you can truly see pride ooze from Brenda when she talks about her girls. Brenda is also a nurse in a new management position and she is obtaining her Master’s degree. Her daily workload and homework have been a challenge with getting to class as often as she used to, but Brenda is not giving up in this way either. She dialed back to once per week while she finishes her Master’s degree this year and then she’ll be back in full force because she just loves the results she’s seen from our kettlebell classes.
Congratulations Brenda!
